We accept most insurance and Medicare is welcome. Coverage still varies from plan to plan and from treatment to treatment, so this page explains what to check before your first visit and who to ask when something is unclear.
Check your plan, not just your insurer
Participating with an insurance company does not mean every individual plan that company sells is in-network with us. Two people with cards from the same insurer can have different networks and different benefits. Before your first visit, call the member services number on the back of your card and confirm both your network participation and your benefits for radiation oncology.
Ask specifically about your deductible, your co-pay or co-insurance for outpatient treatment, and whether your plan needs a referral or prior authorization before a consultation or before treatment starts.
Referrals and authorizations
Most people are referred by an oncologist, surgeon or urologist, and some plans require that referral on file before they will pay. We coordinate with your referring physician so the paperwork does not fall to you, and if your plan needs prior authorization for a treatment we will tell you what it needs and when.
You do not need a referral to call us and ask a question. If you are unsure whether radiation is worth discussing, that conversation costs nothing. Read what to expect for how a first visit runs.
Questions about coverage and billing
Our team can help answer questions about coverage, statements and what a treatment is likely to mean for you financially. Call either center: Arlington 817-417-1132, Fort Worth 817-438-0259. Ask early, ideally before treatment starts, rather than after a statement arrives. It is a fair question and nobody here will be uncomfortable answering it.
