Our treatments
Advanced treatments. Personalized for you.
Radiation therapy has moved on a long way. Treatment today is more precise and better tolerated, which means better outcomes and less disruption to the rest of your life.
We use established radiation techniques and a plan built for your diagnosis, so treatment reaches the cancer while sparing as much healthy tissue as possible.
What we do
Treatments and techniques.
IMRT and RapidArc
The beam is shaped and its strength varied across the target, so the tumor gets the dose and the healthy tissue around it is spared.

A high dose aimed very precisely, which means far fewer visits. Often five sessions or less instead of several weeks.

Pictures are taken at the start of each session to confirm you are in exactly the right position before anything is switched on.

Radiation given as a medicine. It travels through the body and settles where the cancer is.

Before a single session, your dose is mapped on a detailed scan of you, so we know precisely where it will go.

A much lower dose used to calm the inflammation behind osteoarthritis pain. Not cancer treatment, and not surgery.

Which treatment is right for me?
Radiation treatment is not one size fits all. Your radiation oncologist recommends an approach based on the type of cancer, where it is and what stage it has reached, any treatment you have already had, your general health, and what you want treatment to achieve.
- Type and stage of the cancer
- Where the tumor is, and its size
- Your general health
- What you want treatment to do
We will explain the options in plain language, and why one is being recommended over another, before anything is agreed.
What to expect.
The same sequence for almost everyone, however long your particular course turns out to be.
- Consultation We go through your diagnosis and your history, and answer your questions. Nobody is treated on this day.
- Imaging and simulation A planning CT scan, and any other imaging needed, to map exactly where treatment has to reach.
- Treatment planning Your dose is designed and checked on that scan before a single session is delivered.
- Treatment Sessions are typically on weekdays and take minutes. Some courses are a single visit.
- Ongoing care We see you through the course, watch for side effects and manage them as they appear.
- Follow-up Your physician keeps monitoring your progress and recovery after treatment finishes.
Your comfort, your safety and your peace of mind come first at every one of these steps.
